The Zonta Club of Quaboag Valley held its 3rd Silent “no more!” Auction – Because victims need to be heard – on May 9, 2011 6pm at the Ludlow Country Club, Ludlow, MA. The event is held annually to raise awareness and funds for projects aimed at stopping violence against women and children.
Beneficiaries this year included Womanshelter Companeras, assisting, supporting and empowering those affected by battering and abuse; and WestMass ElderCare , preserving the dignity, independence and quality of life of elders and disabled persons.
Past recipients have included local chapters of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children; Bullying Awareness/Prevention programs at Palmer High School and Pathfinder Regional; and Domestic Violence Taskforces serving Palmer, Ware, Warren and surrounding communities.
